Originally this 1130 square foot condominium had one bedroom plus a den, and 1 1/2 baths. Through a smart rearranging of spaces, the unit was transformed into a two bedroom and a den with 1 3/4 baths. The design began with the idea of moving the kitchen into the overly large living space and turning the old kitchen into a walk-in closet and small den/computer area. Circulation to the master bedroom was rerouted and the old hallway space was given back to the two small bathrooms. This allowed for an additional shower and a linen closet to be added

Simple small house design by Danish architecture firm Primus is just as thrilling if you’re into contemporary and unusual homes. At 75m2, this modern wood clad house on the coast of Zealand in Denmark, crams all the good stuff into a deceivingly small footprint. “The main focus has been to add spatiality and experience of light,” according to the architect. The simple floor plan of this small house features two bedrooms, with special attention paid to the positioning of public and private spaces to accommodate the two generations of family living here

Located in the Chengdu, Capital of Sichuan Province in China, the GINGKO BACCHUS Restaurant is a surrealistic blend (respectively “graft”) of western and Chinese restaurant and food culture.
The starting point of the design is a blacked out space. The public spaces are considered a river or a stream along which one “floats” through the depth of the 1200m2 black space. The stream is entered directly from the elevators which are the only access to this restaurant on the 4th floor of the Gingko Restaurant Building. The undulated wood ceiling and the stainless steel intarsia of the floor pattern create the flowing sensation of this “stream” which terminates at the open dining and show cooking area. 8 private dining rooms are located like boulders along the stream, each color coded and themed by food and famous Bacchus depictions
